1. About Us
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Vertika Group website and client portal, and the provision of property maintenance services by Vertika Group Ltd ("Vertika", "we", "us", "our"). By using our services or portal, you agree to these terms.
Vertika Group Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. Our services are provided in accordance with English law.
2. Services
Vertika provides property maintenance services including but not limited to plumbing, heating, drainage, electrical work, gas servicing, leak detection, handyman services, and emergency callouts across London.
All works are carried out by qualified engineers. Gas works are conducted by Gas Safe registered engineers only. Electrical works are carried out by NICEIC approved contractors.
3. Quotes and Pricing
- All quotes are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Quotes are subject to a site survey and may be revised if the scope of work changes upon inspection.
- Emergency and out-of-hours callouts are subject to additional charges as outlined at the time of booking.
- All prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. VAT is charged at the prevailing UK rate (currently 20%).
- We reserve the right to revise our pricing with reasonable notice for ongoing service contracts.
4. Bookings and Cancellations
- Bookings are confirmed upon written acceptance (email or portal confirmation).
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted job value.
- For emergency callouts, cancellation after dispatch of an engineer will incur the full callout charge.
- We will provide reasonable notice if we need to reschedule, except in cases of emergency.
5. Access to Property
It is the client's responsibility to ensure that our engineers have safe and appropriate access to the property at the agreed time. If access cannot be gained without prior notice, a failed visit charge may apply. The client must disclose any known hazards at the property prior to our engineer's visit.
6. Payment Terms
- Invoices are due for payment within 30 days of issue unless a separate credit agreement is in place.
- We reserve the right to charge statutory interest on overdue invoices in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
- We may suspend services for accounts in arrears of 60 days or more.
- Payment can be made by bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other methods specified on the invoice.
7. Workmanship Guarantee
All works carried out by Vertika are guaranteed for a period of 12 months from completion, covering defects arising from workmanship. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by third parties, fair wear and tear, misuse, or pre-existing conditions unrelated to our works.
Parts and materials are subject to the manufacturer's warranty where applicable.
8. Liability
- Our total liability to you in connection with any single job shall not exceed the value of that job.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or business interruption.
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
- We maintain appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
9. Client Portal
- Access to the Vertika client portal is provided to approved clients only.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- Portal access may be suspended or terminated for misuse, non-payment, or breach of these terms.
- We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue portal features with reasonable notice.
10. Health & Safety
Our engineers operate in accordance with all applicable health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations. Clients must not interfere with or instruct our engineers in a manner that compromises safety. We reserve the right to halt work if we deem a site unsafe.
11. Complaints
We take all complaints seriously. If you are dissatisfied with our service, please contact us in the first instance at info@vertikagroup.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and resolve them within 14 days. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may refer the matter to an appropriate alternative dispute resolution scheme.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the Vertika website and portal — including text, images, logos, and software — is owned by or licensed to Vertika Group Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of our services or portal following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The current version will always be published on this page.
